USPA NEWS - In PARIS, was held a Special Event around the coming First 'FESTIVAL DES JARDINS' held in the COTE D'AZUR Department lasting from April 01 to May 01, 2017. Personalities came to introduce and encourage this unique Event and also workshops with representatives of the different participating Cities...
In PARIS, was held a Special Event around the coming First 'FESTIVAL DES JARDINS' held in the COTE D'AZUR Department lasting from April 01 to May 01, 2017. Personalities came to introduce and encourage this unique Event and also workshops with representatives of the different participating Cities. This special and interesting Event will be added to the Traditional Events already held on the Côte d´Azur (Carnaval de Nice, Fête du Mimosa, Fête du Citron, fireworks, flower festivals..)

This Press Conference and Press Workshop had the aim of showing that The Côte d'Azur's gardens have played a crucial role in promoting the Region as a tourism destination and now form a key component of its botanical heritage.

The IN FESTIVAL : A pop-up garden competition sprawling across 200 m² in the city centre in some of the département's most stunning sites (The competition was launched during the Gardens event held at the Tuileries Garden in Paris on June 03, 2016) :

- ANTIBES : Pinède Gould in Juan-les-Pins
- CANNES with the Villa Rothschild garden
- GRASSE : Esplanade Honoré Cresp
- MENTON : Jardin Biovès
- NICE : Jardin Albert I on the Promenade du Paillon
The OFF Festival : Allows the entire Côte d´Azur area to experience the luxurious and remarkable natural heritage the region enjoys. The line-up features events, activities, discussions, exhibitions, open days and guided tours.

This event is an opportunity to celebrate the sixty-odd gardens open to the public throughout the year, based on itineraries and tourism stays to allow visitors to immerse themselves in these remarkable sites.
This initiative is part-funded by the European ALLCOTRA France-Italy project entitled JARDIVAL, which aims to protect and showcase gardens on the Côte d´Azur and the Italian Riviera. Alongside the festival, five French municipalities and an Italian province will be equipped with new facilities from 2016 to 2017: The gardens of the Villa Rothschild in Cannes, Maria Séréna in Menton, the plant garden in Grasse, the Villa Ormond in Sanremo, Costarainera and its Novaro Park, and finally the Villa Grock in the Province of Imperia.
